On the pair I made for my mom, you just decreased and then did a kitchener stitch to close. No visible seam :) The K-stitch looks complicated at first, but once you get the hang of it, it is simply "k off, p on, p off, k on"<br /><br />Don't know if you'll need it or not, but that helped me a lot.
